About Coopertown
Coopertown began as Naive's Crossroads after David Naive settled it in 1825; the barrels coopers made there for the Red River mills gave it its present name. It lies at the southern edge of the 1775 Transylvania Purchase, a Trail of Tears sign stands in town, and a Lowe's distribution center opened beside I-24 in 2018.
